Anna has extensive knowledge on impaired driving, cannabis and youth substance use prevention.
Biography:
Anna Goodman always wanted a career in research. Consulting directly with youth and health practitioners, educators and parents captures her interest. Learning how substance use is discussed at home, in the classroom and among peers puts meaning into the guidance her work provides.
Anna joined CCSA in January 2015 to focus on impaired driving, while expanding her understanding of addiction and substance use. She is regularly asked to present on youth and cannabis. She experienced a personal highlight when she presented her work at the Transportation Research Board conference in Washington, D.C.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Social Science from University of Ottawa and a Master of Arts in sociology from the University of Toronto. Before joining CCSA, she spent three years working at the Traffic Injury Research Foundation. Her specialty was teen driver safety and impaired driving.
In her free time, Anna is an avid traveller who has been to every province and territory in Canada except Nunavut and over 20 states in the United States.
