Reviews research on the effects of maternal cannabis use during pregnancy on children and young adults. A growing body of evidence suggests that cannabis use can negatively impact aspects of people’s lives, including pre- and post-natal development among children. The effects of prenatal cannabis exposure on offspring, including birth outcomes, neurocognitive development, and the behaviour and mental health of children, are explored. Following a review of the evidence, this report discusses implications for policy and practice.
