Dawid Werminski, J.D.
Public Policy Advisor
Dawid has strong knowledge of criminal law and is well versed in social and political policy.
Dawid Werminski’s desire to advocate for a better society was a driving force behind his decision to join CCSA in November 2019. He was inspired to work to address the needs of individuals with substance use issues while working in drug treatment court as a crown prosecutor with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice.
Dawid considers working with colleagues in the Regina Prosecutions Office and the dedicated stakeholders responsible for running the Regina Therapeutic Courts to be early career highlights. He also has experience working as a policy and regulatory affairs manager at a national industry association in Ottawa and as a lawyer in private practice in Regina.
Dawid earned his Juris Doctor from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan. He is a member in good standing with the Bar Associations of Saskatchewan and Ontario.
Depending on the season, Dawid spends his free time either on a curling or hockey rink, or at a campground.
