Emily Tennant, MSc.
Emily has a strong background in health promotion and knowledge mobilization.
Emily Tennant likes making research usable for those who need to use it. Joining CCSA in June 2019 presented Emily an opportunity to do this work with research she found important and aligned with her interests. These interests include health promotion, pain management and program evaluation.
Emily previously served as the clinical research coordinator of the Program Evaluation and Interdisciplinary Pain Research Lab at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. She also worked as a project coordinator for Queen’s University, as well as on numerous government communications and public affairs teams, including at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
Emily earned a BA from the University of Ottawa, majoring in communications and psychology, and has an MSc in health promotion from Queen’s University.
In her spare time, Emily is an avid runner and enjoys writing fiction.
