Helen Stokes, PhD
Helen Stokes wants to make sure that CCSA's wealth of knowledge is widely shared. In her current role as associate director of Strategic Partnerships and Knowledge Management, Helen supports CCSA’s knowledge brokers to spread knowledge effectively at a variety of levels, from policy makers in government to workers on the frontline of treatment and recovery.
Helen is originally from the United Kingdom where she earned a PhD in cardiac rehabilitation from the School of Nursing at the University of Hull. Helen has worked in a number of roles and settings in health care in both the UK and Canada, which have given her a broad scope of expertise in strategy and leadership.
A major career achievement saw Helen act as a key contributor in helping to get cardiac rehabilitation on the strategic map and embedded in the continuum of cardiovascular care in both Britain and Canada.
In her spare time, Helen is an avid reader. She loves to be creative in the kitchen and is working hard to transform her garden into an oasis of colour and texture.
Helen originally joined CCSA in March 2018 as a knowledge broker.
