Janet Childerhose, PhD
Janet’s areas of expertise include bioethics, pediatrics, physicians and knowledge translation.
Janet joined CCSA in August 2018 and has found being part of the CCSA team to be engaging and rewarding. Her role at CCSA allows her to contribute to two of her passionate professional causes — supporting youth and family physicians.
As she moves forward in her role at CCSA, Janet will be providing her expertise in a number of areas, including developing and implementing CCSA’s stigma workshops, the project for Improving Treatment Together and the physician remuneration study.
Janet trained in the humanities and social sciences, earning her PhD from McGill University. She took her career in a new direction by going into medicine and becoming a team-based scientist. Before joining CCSA, she brought her expertise to Johns Hopkins University, the University of Michigan, the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, the University of Toronto and the City of Metropolitan Toronto.
