Making all CCSA Publications Fully Accessible

You may have noticed a new pop-up on the CCSA website when trying to access PDFs.

This is a temporary process as we work to ensure all publications meet the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.

We are working to update more than 700 publications, in both official languages, which will take time. We have begun with our most recent and popular publications.

AODA-compliant publications will be posted to the CCSA website as they’re updated.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure everyone can access information about substance use, addiction and health.

If you have any questions about this initiative, please email us at AODA-requests@ccsa.ca.

Thank you.

Standing Committee on Health: Canada’s Health Workforce Brief (Policy Brief)

A version of this document was submitted to the Standing Committee on Canada’s Health Workforce in May 2022.

Explores how to improve the capacity and success of the healthcare system by improving care of its human resources, the healthcare professionals themselves. Identifies the unique situation and special consideration needed for Canada’s mental health and substance use health service providers. These dedicated professionals are addressing dual health emergencies: the COVID-19 pandemic and toxic drugs (commonly referred to as the opioid crisis but involving much more than just one substance). Also looks at harm reduction workers as a subset of the MHSUH group who face additional, compounding challenges.
