Susan Barrass, MA

Susan’s areas of expertise include public policy, health equity, marginalized populations and the social determinants of health.
Biography:
Susan Barrass joined CCSA in April 2019 looking for an opportunity to influence policy at a national level, while building upon her interest in health equity and public policy. She has particular interest in the intersections of substance use in diverse groups with mental health, public policy and public perceptions of substance use and addictions.
Susan’s previous experiences include serving as a policy and research analyst with Rainbow Health Ontario, program coordinator with the Ryerson Centre on Immigration and Settlement and an analyst with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University and an MA in immigration and settlement studies from Ryerson University.
In her free time, Susan has an interest in photography and is an avid fan of Coronation Street.
