Examines the value of post-detoxification housing programs as a treatment method for reducing or abstaining from substance use. Conducted among individuals who met the criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders for opioid dependence and had recently completed a residential detox program, this study concludes that there is insufficient evidence to determine if post-detox housing affects substance use behavior.
