Biography
Angie Hamilton became involved in substance use health–related work from her indirect lived experience as many of her family members have experienced substance use disorders.
She is motivated by her love for her family, other people adversely affected by substance use and her passion to see all forms of substance use disorder treated as a health issue. Crediting the late Austrian neurologist and psychologist, Viktor Frankl, she believes that we can control how we choose to respond to whatever is happening around us.
To help her get through tough times, Angie leans on family and friends, reminding herself that this too shall pass and listens to Buddhist monk, Ajahn Brahm, from Perth, Australia, on YouTube.
