Training Workshops for Managers and Leaders

Body

Workplaces are one of the major contributing factors to workers using substances.

Factors influencing use include:

  • Coping with work stress and anxiety;
  • Unwinding with coworkers;
  • Socializing with leadership;
  • Managing pain and injuries;
  • Reducing fatigue or managing shiftwork; and
  • Entertaining clients among other reasons.

Whether substance use is problematic, occasional or for medical reasons, it can affect all workplaces in the form of reduced productivity, higher absenteeism, diminished worker morale and greater health, safety and liability risks.

Our Managing Substance Use and the Workplace Workshop trains leaders on a wide array of substance use situations and the workplace. It is geared to better understand, prevent and reduce workplace risks that could contribute to and result from substance use.
