Petra Schulz
Substance Use Collective MemberAbout Petra
Petra Schulz is a co-founder of Moms Stop the Harm, a national organization that advocates for evidence-based drug policy. This organization supports families who have lost people dear to them to the toxic drug crisis or have loved ones with lived or living experience with substance use.
Petra’s advocacy journey started after the heartbreaking loss of her son, Danny, in 2014 to the toxic drug crisis. Danny was a chef, musician and budding writer, and he made everyone laugh.
Guided by kindness and compassion, and with the support of her community and family, Petra strives to reduce the harm caused by failed substance use policy.
Outside of work, Petra likes to spend time with her family and her labradoodle, Brandy. She enjoys summer walks and cross-country skiing in the winter
