Substance Abuse in Canada: Concurrent Disorders


Examines the co-occurrence of substance use and mental health disorders. It argues that concurrent disorders are a significant health issue, but the system of care for them is fractured. Because the onset of concurrent disorders occurs in adolescence, we need to improve our capacity for early detection and intervention.
