Biography:
Timothy Deloughery has worked in the health field for over 20 years. Before joining CCSA in September 2023, Timothy worked as Concurrent Disorder Specialist with Pembroke Regional Hospital, Clinical Manager for Canadian Centre for Addictions, and Director, Special Programming & Initiatives, for Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres. He has also worked as a frontline counsellor supporting people with mental health and substance use health challenges.
Timothy is passionate about promoting substance use health for lifelong wellness, educating communities about stigma and promoting understanding about what substance use disorders are and how they are identified and treated.
Timothy is a Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor and a Canadian Clinical Supervisor-Addiction Counsellors with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation. He is also a Certified Instructor of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention with the Crisis Prevention Institute.
Outside of work, you can find Timothy on the Rideau River with the Ottawa Water Ski Club, pedaling his bike anywhere in Canada, or cross-country skiing in Gatineau Park.
